Rainbow Bright 2 by SomberxEcstasy Rainbow Bright 2 by SomberxEcstasy
So far this is my favorite style I've EVER done.
This took me 4 hours to do with the help of my very patient mom and half a box of aluminum foil.

Colors in order of Roy G. Biv:
Special Effects - Nuclear Red + Atomic Pink
Special Effects - Napalm Orange
Color Fiend - Lightning Bolt
Directions - Apple Green
Crazy Color - Capri Blue
Directions - Plum

Okay, so I'm planning on doing rainbow suuuper soon, and I've seen this picture all over the internet and I just love it! but I want to know how you prevented the colors from running together when you rinsed it? Did you rinse it separately somehow or dye the pieces at different times?

I had help to rinse them out separately in the sink. Starting with the front with my face down in the sink I rinsed out the red, then orange, then yellow, making sure to rinse as much of the color out as possible so there wouldn't be a whole lot of bleeding. Then I flipped so I was facing up with the back of my head in the sink, and risned out the purple, then blue, then green. The great thing about a rainbow is all the colors are next to similar colors, so even if there's a touch of bleeding it'll just look like a well blended rainbow. The things to avoid though would be washing it all together because it'll all mix into a muddy mess. Also the yellow is sensitive and can easily be overpowered by a leaky green or orange, and purples tend to bleed more than most so you gotta watch out and make sure it doesn't take over your blue.
I wish you the best of luck with the rainbow and hope I was helpful! It is absolutely the most fun hair style anyone can ever have, you'll get stopped on the streets and get your picture taken all the time. You'll feel like a celebrity. :D

When you did this, did you just do the colors in vertical stripes or is there more color underneath? because in your hair timeline it looks less... flat than that, for lack of a better term.

It's all through the under layers as well, it could probably just be the lighting and fact that the image is a little over exposed that's causing the "flat" look?

I suppose flat isn't the best word, but in your timeline you had it pulled back in a ponytail and I couldn't tell if you'd done it in layers or in vertical strips all through the hair.

Sorry ^^; sometimes I have a hard time finding the words I need to use.

Oh I get what you're saying, this was vertical stripes, but I did the rainbow a couple different ways and it always looked different depending how I styled my hair too.

Oh, okay. Thanks. I've been wanting to dye my hair again and always thought yours was the coolest.

How do you not kill your hair from dying it so much? (love it)
